As a Business Development Engineer, you play a key role in our commercial growth. You’re responsible for creating and following up on new opportunities, working closely with our engineers.

What does this mean?

• Generating and qualifying new leads.
• Making initial contact and scheduling meetings with potential clients.
• Managing and further growing relationships with our existing clients in the automotive, food & beverage, and production technology sectors.
• Supporting technical sales processes and quotations.
• Coordinating tenders and RFQs together with our engineering department.
• Identifying new market opportunities.
• Maintaining our CRM and following up on marketing and trade fair contacts.

Requirements

• You’re commercially minded, with a strong technical foundation: you don’t need to develop software yourself, but you understand how our technology works and can explain it convincingly to clients.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field (mechanics, mechatronics, control engineering, physics, or similar).
• Experience in business development or technical B2B sales.
• Experience in the high-tech sector is a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
• Analytical skills to recognize customer needs and market opportunities.
• A customer-oriented, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Fluent knowledge of Dutch and English, French is a plus.
