Welcome to CTRL engineering, where we develop innovative, custom high-tech machines for a wide range of industries. From test benches for the electric motors of your future car to vision-based quality control or an automatic dosing system for your Sunday pancakes. No challenge is too big!
As a Business Development Engineer, you play a key role in our commercial growth. You’re responsible for creating and following up on new opportunities, working closely with our engineers.
What does this mean?
- Generating and qualifying new leads.
- Making initial contact and scheduling meetings with potential clients.
- Managing and further growing relationships with our existing clients in the automotive, food & beverage, and production technology sectors.
- Supporting technical sales processes and quotations.
- Coordinating tenders and RFQs together with our engineering department.
- Identifying new market opportunities.
- Maintaining our CRM and following up on marketing and trade fair contacts.
Requirements
- You’re commercially minded, with a strong technical foundation: you don’t need to develop software yourself, but you understand how our technology works and can explain it convincingly to clients.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field (mechanics, mechatronics, control engineering, physics, or similar).
- Experience in business development or technical B2B sales.
- Experience in the high-tech sector is a plus.
- Strong communication skills.
- Analytical skills to recognize customer needs and market opportunities.
- A customer-oriented, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Fluent knowledge of Dutch and English, French is a plus.
